Name: The Addams Family musical comedy
    Date: September 21, 2017 - October 8, 2017
    Event Description:
The Lynden Performing Arts Guild is celebrating their 30th season with the opening production of a musical take on an old favorite, “The Addams Family”, directed by Tina Miller. “The Addams Family” musical joins the iconic Addams Family - Gomez and Morticia, their children Pugsley and Wednesday, and a host of morbid and macabre relatives - as Wednesday has turned 18 years old and found a boyfriend. This boyfriend, however, is nothing like the Addams Family clan - he is a normal young man from a respectable family. The plot is focused on a dinner party hosted by the Addams family when they meet the new boyfriend and his parents for the first time. “Although the story is told from the Addams family perspective which is more on ‘the dark side’ (in a very fun way), it has a very strong message that truth and love win out in the end. There is a strong emphasis on the value of family and sticking together - no matter how unusual the relatives may be,” said director Tina Miller. The Addams Family opens September 21 and will be performed 13 times, ending October 8. Tickets are available at the box office (360 354 4425 or in person), starting September 12, 1:00-3:00 pm. Also available online at www.vendini.com, or through the theatre website, www.theclaire.org.
