Karie Prescott, viola, began her studies in Bellevue with Richard Skerlong. She is a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music and the University of Michigan. Chamber music performances have taken her throughout Europe and North America. A member of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra she has frequently played in orchestras accompanying Andrea Bocelli, Placido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti. She is the founder and director of the Guemes Island Chamber Music Series. Semmy Stahlhammer is First Concertmaster of the Stockholm Royal Opera, a faculty member of the Stockholm Royal Music College, leads The Stahlhammer Klezmer Classic Band, and appears as solo artist on numerous CD recordings. He studied at Juilliard and is a graduate of Curtis Institute of Music and Kent State University. Classically trained at the Academy of Music in Voronezh, Russia, Sergei Teleshev has won many regional and international accordion competitions. Being accordion player of Trio Voronezh, Valinor Quartet, Classic Klezmer Trio, he collaborates with many internationally recognized artists, ensembles, and orchestras. The concert takes place in the Chamber Hall at the Jansen Art Center on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 PM. Tickets to the event are $25.00. Jansen Art Center members save 10% on all performance tickets.
