There are three key things to know about Fibers & Beyond! First, is the amazing keynote speaker, John Mullarkey, who will be discussing tablet weaving in a creative, contemporary way. He’s an Internationally-recognized teacher that has been tablet weaving for over a decade. The event is called Warping the Fabric of Time and will be on Wednesday, October 10 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10. The second big thing to know is that there are ten different fibers classes happening between October 10-13! Learn how to work with weaving, nuno felt, and eco-printing. Lastly, the Fibers & Beyond sale will wrap the fun up! This will be Saturday, October 13 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Jansen Art Center welcomes back the popular Whatcom Weavers Sale featuring items selected by the Whatcom Weavers Guild. This sale is open to the public with free admission. Each year, the sale features the artwork of textiles artists from around the region. It is one of the most popular textile sales of the year in the Pacific Northwest.
